Writers Guild of America West Announces 2026 Board of Directors Election Results

Los Angeles – Writers Guild of America West has announced the results of its 2026 Board of Directors election.

The following eight members were elected to the WGAW’s Board of Directors for two-year terms, effective immediately: Melinda Hsu (inc.), Raphael Bob-Waksberg (inc.), Chris Hazzard (inc.), Cathryn Humphris (inc.), Nikita Hamilton, Danny Tolli (inc.), Andrew Goldberg, Mark Swift.

*Note: (inc.) denotes incumbent.

NUMERICAL VOTING RESULTS

Board of Directors: Melinda Hsu (1,661), Raphael Bob-Waksberg (1,441), Chris Hazzard (1,429), Cathryn Humphris (1,428), Nikita Hamilton (1,421), Danny Tolli (1,389), Andrew Goldberg (1,251), Mark Swift (1,213), John Eisendrath (867), Morgan Dameron (589), Silpa Kovvali (473), Aaron Wiener (444), Mark Amato (357), Jeffrey Thompson (352).

A total of 2,451 valid ballots were cast. The ballot count was supervised by Votenet Solutions and a tellers committee comprised of WGAW members.

The Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) is a labor union representing writers of motion pictures, television, radio, and Internet programming, including news and documentaries. Founded in 1933, the Guild negotiates and administers contracts that protect the creative and economic rights of its members. It is involved in a wide range of programs that advance the interests of writers, and is active in public policy and legislative matters on the local, national, and international levels.
