Writers Guild of America West Announces 2016 Board of Directors Election Results
LOS ANGELES – The Writers Guild of America West today announced the results of its 2016 Board of Directors election.
The following eight members were elected to the Guild’s Board of Directors for two-year terms, effective immediately: Glen Mazzara, Matthew Weiner, Marjorie David (inc.), Jonathan Fernandez (inc.), Chip Johannessen (inc.), Zoanne Clack, Courtney Ellinger, Patric M. Verrone (inc.).

NUMERICAL RESULTS
Candidates Elected to Board of Directors: Glen Mazzara (1,732), Matthew Weiner (1,597), Marjorie David (1,525), Jonathan Fernandez (1,480), Chip Johannessen (1,394), Zoanne Clack (1,393), Courtney Ellinger (1,281), Patric M. Verrone (1,175).
Other Candidates: Ligiah Villalobos (1,103), Ali LeRoi (791), David Slack (698), Keenen Ivory Wayans (667), Richard Keith (568).
The number of eligible voting members was 9,120, with a total of 2,440 valid ballots cast, representing 26.75% voter turnout. The ballot count was supervised by Votenet Solutions.
The Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) is a labor union representing writers of motion pictures, television, radio, and Internet programming, including news and documentaries. Founded in 1933, the Guild negotiates and administers contracts that protect the creative and economic rights of its members.
