Writers Guild of America West Announces Final Candidates for 2021 Officers and Board of Directors Election

Writers Guild of America West has announced the final list of candidates for the 2021 WGAW Officers and Board of Directors election.

Los Angeles – Writers Guild of America West has announced the final list of candidates for the 2021 WGAW Officers and Board of Directors election.

The Officer candidates are as follows: President – Meredith Stiehm; Vice President – Michele Mulroney; Secretary-Treasurer – Betsy Thomas.

There are 18 candidates running for eight open seats on the WGAW’s Board of Directors as follows*: Adam Conover, Daniel Kunka, Nicole Yorkin (inc.), Dailyn Rodriguez, Dante W. Harper (inc.), John Rogers, E. Nicholas Mariani, David DiGilio, Marjorie David, Zoe Marshall (inc.), Robb Chavis (inc.), Liz Alper (inc.), David Renaud, Aaron Wiener, Gregory Bonsignore, Alvaro Rodriguez, David H. Steinberg, Billy Domineau.

Adele Lim withdrew her candidacy on July 19.

*Editor’s Note: WGAW rules require candidates to be announced in an order determined by lot; (inc.) denotes an incumbent candidate.

The WGAW will host a virtual Candidates Night forum, where Guild members may meet and pose questions to the candidates, on Wednesday, September 1.

Guild members will receive links to voting materials, including candidate, non-candidate and rebuttal statements, if any, on August 30. Candidates may distribute additional campaign materials at their own expense. The voting period concludes at Tuesday, September 21, at 12:00 p.m. (PT). Members may vote online or by mail. In accordance with labor law, proxy voting is not permitted.
